Come and discover the vibrant world of the Colours of the Reef.
Registration is essential for this unique opportunity to listen, learn and draw the creatures that call the Great Southern Reef, home.
Join Creative Ecologist Chris Rockley and Marine Ecologists to draw directly onto a vintage piano scroll as part of a growing community artwork celebrating our marine environment. Discover the incredible colours, patterns and textures found within Southern Ocean reef communities and explore how artists and scientists observe the marine world in different ways.
There will be good video and photo references from Deakin Marine & The Great Southern Reef Foundation. Add your drawing to a combined community scroll on the day or take away a numbered scroll to add drawings to over the year. These will form part of a community art project at next years Upwelling festival (2027).
