Creative Ecologist

Environmental storyteller, creative educator and community connector.

Nature has always been my greatest teacher.

As a Creative Ecologist based in Far South West Victoria, I help people connect with the natural world through creativity, observation and shared discovery. My work brings together art, ecology, education and environmental storytelling to create meaningful experiences that inspire curiosity, understanding and care for the places we call home.

I work with communities, educators, scientists, environmental organisations and cultural groups to develop creative ways of engaging with nature. Through workshops, talks, citizen science, exhibitions, collaborative projects and educational programs, I encourage people to see the natural world with fresh eyes and build deeper connections with the environments around them.

Ecology - Exploring the relationships that connect species, habitats, people and place.

Creativity - Using art, storytelling and creative inquiry to inspire understanding, connection and action.

Together, these principles create opportunities for people of all ages to learn, explore, create and connect with nature in meaningful ways.

Meet Chris

I'm an artist, educator, citizen scientist and lifelong nature enthusiast with a passion for connecting people with the environments around them. My work has taken me from classrooms and community halls to coastlines, gardens, research projects and creative collaborations, always exploring the intersection of people, place and ecology.

When I'm not developing workshops or creative projects, I'm usually sketching coastal plants, documenting local biodiversity, exploring rockpools or discovering new stories hidden within the natural world.
