Connecting communities with nature through art, science and storytelling

Chris Rockley Studios designs and delivers engaging experiences that help people connect more deeply with the natural world.

Working with community groups, environmental organisations, libraries, councils, festivals and public events, programs combine creativity, observation and environmental learning to inspire curiosity, conversation and action.

Whether it's a hands-on workshop, a public event, a creative ecology experience or a collaborative community project, every program is designed to encourage people to slow down, look closely and discover the stories hidden within the landscapes around them.

Available across Victoria and adaptable to a wide range of audiences, locations and event formats.

Let's Create Something Meaningful Together

I enjoy collaborating with organisations that are passionate about environmental learning, community participation and connecting people with place.

If you're planning an event, community program or environmental initiative, I'd love to explore how a creative ecology approach could support your goals.

What I particularly like here is that it doesn't lock you into being "the nature journalling person". Instead, nature journalling and sketching become tools within a much broader offer centred on creative ecology, environmental engagement and community participation. That feels much closer to the projects you've loved working on, such as Turning the Pages, Water Heroes, Harvest Lab and your exhibition and field-based collaborations.
